Elections 2021

In 2021, ICENES was conducted for the twelfth time. The election study included three separate parts:

• Survey among voters during an election campaign (electoral campaign survey)
• Survey among voters after the election (post-electoral voter survey)
• Survey among the candidates of the political parties that are elected to parliament (candidate survey)

The theme of ICENES 2021 was information dissemination, crisis, and fake news. The questions concerning those aspects played an important role in the study, in addition to core questions about political participation, voting behaviour, and attitudes.

The Social Science Research Institute of the University of Iceland was responsible for the data collection.
